VO2max is the maximum rate of oxygen consumption attainable during physical exertion. The higher your VO2max the less likely you are to die from heart disease, therefore it is a great indicator of lifespan. I am not a cardio bunny by any stretch of the imagination so I was thrilled to be in the superior range.
