There are plenty of reasons alcohol isn’t healthy for you, including:
1️⃣ It is a Class 1 carcinogen, it’s highly correlated to causing cancer.
2️⃣ It blunts protein synthesis. It hinders your gym gains.
3️⃣ It disrupts your circadian rhythms. You won’t have as deep and meaningful of sleep.
However, people who drink moderately seem to outlive people who do not. It’s likely not due to health benefits of alcohol but instead due to socializing.
Whether you drink or not, I personally am a libertarian. As long as you don’t hurt dogs or kids we are cool. But regardless if you drink or not, it’s vital to your health to have a strong social network.
