How to do Repetitions Correctly

This is a brief tutorial of how to correctly do your repetitions while lifting. These are a few key tips to keep in mind to get the most out of each rep:

– Get the full range of motion from the bottom to top
– Do not rely on momentum
– Never bounce the weight
– You should feel the intended muscle through the whole lift

Zone 2 cardio

Zone 2 cardio increases your VO2max and lowers your resting heart rate. Both your VO2max and resting heart rate are strong indicators of your cardiovascular health 🫀

That’s why 80% of the time I spend doing cardio, it’s zone 2 with my heart rate between 105-133 beats per minute. I do 150 minutes weekly of zone 2 cardio spread across 3-4 sessions. Sometimes I’m walking on an incline with a weighted vest, other times I’m on a stationary bike, and almost always I am having a conversation on my phone through my AirPods.

What’s in my fridge?

What’s in my fridge?

I get this question a lot. Since I make a lot of grocery shopping videos and food reviews, it’s only natural that you’d start to wonder what I keep in my fridge at home.

Here’s a true-to-life look at what I eat on an average day and keep on hand.

This list includes, but is not limited to: meal prep from @GreenLifeNY, blueberries, raspberries, citrus fruit, broccoli, avocado, guacamole, olives, spinach, nonfat Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, seltzer waters, @RaosHomemade, and always @yasso bars in the freezer.

Studs or Duds?: Quest Muffins

Are @questnutrition muffins studs or duds?

I bought these off of @VitaminShoppe’s website for $25 for a pack of 8. So they are around $3 per muffin which I think is a very reasonable price.

They are 200 calories with 10g of protein so they don’t pass The Test; however, one muffin has 10g of fiber which is significant. A Dunkin’ muffin, on the other hand, is 460 calories with 6g of protein and only 1g of fiber.

Both the chocolate chip and blueberry muffins kind of blew me away. They were both moist which is hard to achieve when making protein baked goods.

To me, these are solid studs🏆
