Fact: all protein powders are processed. Chobani makes a pre-made Greek yogurt shake.

I personally use protein powder on a regular basis. There’s nothing wrong with having it as part of your diet. It’s a great way to supplement for additional protein.

However, it’s definitely a processed food, and many protein powders contain metallics. Some people are interested in alternative ways to hit their protein requirements day in and day out that involve more minimally processed options. @chobani Complete and Zero Sugar may be the perfect convenient option to help you hit your protein goals.

⚠️ Again, I’m not about demonizing food or fear mongering. I do have protein powder in my diet. I don’t have it every single day, but that’s because i’ve been doing this a long time and I’m able to get my protein requirements without it. It’s a perfectly viable option for people who are newer to their fitness journey. I just want to provide an answer for those who are looking for a less processed alternative.

Breakfast at Bluestone Lane

There weren’t a lot of healthy food spots in Larchmont, NY before @bluestonelane came to town. I first heard of it because of my client @mhiggins but my expectations were really blown away shortly after walking through the door. The atmosphere is really special considering that it’s a quick eats establishment, and the fact that they have the calories on the menu? Be still my beating heart. This place has amazing smoothies and so many breakfast options for under 500 calories with 30g protein.

Today I had the Athletes Burrito which is an amazing tasting burrito with 30g protein. I mean it doesn’t get better than that. I visit this location at least a couple times a month.

Popcorn is Highly Bingeable

Popcorn is one of my favorite high-volume foods 🍿 It’s highly bingeable. Normally you need a PhD to understand the nutrition label on the back of a bag of popcorn, but these 100-calorie bags are very easy to understand. You know exactly how many calories you are eating.

I personally love popcorn because it’s a savory snack that is high in fiber. I either have popcorn or ice cream every single day depending on if I’m in the mood for something savory or sweet before bed.

Promix casein: One of the few scientifically established supplements

Casein is a slow digesting protein. Your body doesn’t have a mechanism to store protein, it breaks down to amino acids which are utilized between 2-6 hours for either glucose or to build/repair tissue.

Your body does have a mechanism to store fat, unfortunately. Your body does have a mechanism to store carbohydrates. But when it comes to protein you need to time out your meals throughout the day. Casein is a slow digesting protein that is closer to 6 hours of digestion.
