I’m at a Chinese restaurant and I’m getting the steamed chicken, steamed broccoli, and brown rice. That’s because it’s not a special occasion, it’s just another day in the ‘hood.
When it’s not a special occasion we’re eating minimalistic. Focus on lean protein and veggies when we go out to eat. Even with the veggies, make sure they’re not drenched in oil.
If it IS a special occasion, which will be ~50 days out of the year, prepare for it. Get what you want, but compensate with your meal choices throughout the rest of the day.
