It’s a fantastic addition to many dishes but there is a lower calorie, higher protein alternative that tastes damn near similar… nonfat Greek yogurt!
Let’s take a look at the macros for each:
Sour cream – 2 tbsp (30g) is 50 calories
Greek yogurt – 2 tbsp (30g) is 15 calories… and more protein!
My favorite time to use this hack is with ground beef-based dishes like chili or tacos, omelets, or using it to whip my eggs.
