Wearables (Apple watch, Fitbit, Whoop, etc) are inaccurate at tracking calories. This is found consistently throughout the literature. Here I am speaking about it among other subjects at HPLT Training in Miami.
A Stanford inquiry into the accuracy of seven wristband activity monitors showed even the most accurate device was off by an average of 27 percent and the least accurate was off by 93 percent.
