I sought out, hands down, the very best guru in the game Jacob Zemer on the East Coast. It’s been wild how much stronger I have been able to get in 3 months without jeopardizing my running. Each session, I am learning about a ton of my weaknesses and why I am not able to perform at an elite level. I am investing a lot more in my body & mind for 2021 because I am not getting any younger, and I have a lot more to accomplish athletically. If you are in the Tri-State area, get on this man’s book, you’ll thank me later.
Jacob is the best trainer I’ve ever met in my life. Wildly knowledgeable about health and diet. He’s also a good person and a friend. And he looks like Zangief. If you’re into health or fitness at all, follow him. If you live in New York, hire him. He will change you life, like he changed mine.

In late 2016, #JennLangerfeld felt stressed and sluggish. She became sick with pneumonia. But she was in so much pain that she couldn’t get out of bed, which seemed odd. Soon after she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and learned a flare up caused her pain. Finding herself at 203 pounds, she decided it was time to make a change.
At 40 years oId I had trained relentlessly. Battling 4 years of chronic daily Achilles Tendinosis, 5 years shoulder inflammation I push harder than most. My body fat was on the cusp of clinically overweight. That’s when I was introduced to Jacob Zemer.
Jacob simplifies everything. It’s just back to basics but with modern, sustainable ways of doing it. 8 months in the plan has worked. My Achilles pain disappeared, I sleep pain free for the first time in over 5 years. My body fat is down 17.5% and I’ve lost 38 lbs. I now train to compliment my nutrition. I’m putting in 50% the work in the gym and getting 10x the results.
I decided to work with Jake after about a year of being vegan. I was healthy but softer than I wanted to be. The Goal was to drop body fat without dropping muscle.
I went from ~21 percent body fat to ~10 percent while lean muscle mass remaining constant. Jake has a directness about him that makes him a very effective coach.
When I first met Jake my dress size was a size 20 and I weighed 260 lbs. Jake believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. He gave me the support I needed mentally to actually accomplish my goals. Jake helped me transform my body and my life! In 18 months I lost 90 lbs. and am now down to a size 8 dress.
My whole life I’ve gone up and down from being in incredible shape, to really out of shape from decisions of my own leading to bad habits. I’ve always been able to get back on track but never found something long term until I learned my macros and Jake’s philosophy with accountability.
Over the last 6 months my cholesterol dropped from 212 to 164 and triglycerides from 275 to 104.
When Jake and I met my weight had gotten out of control. I was 317 lbs and needed help. He both challenged me and supported me. I lost 102 pounds remotely with Jake in 11 months. He is knowledgeable, assertive and relentless. He is a constant professional; I am forever thankful we met.
I thought I knew how to train after 20 years of doing it. I can truly say, Jake taught me how to lift weights and how to eat. The importance of training volume, mobility work, massage therapy, and how to fit a diet into my demanding life. I am now 42 and in the best shape of my entire life. I am stronger and more aesthetic than I was in my twenties, and Jake is responsible for it.
Form, consistency, safety, output, and motivation. I’m 36 years old and a father of three, working full time but Jake keeps fitness and health a priority in my life.
